PostDoc position (m/f)
The position is embedded in the Research Unit 2518 “Functional Dynamics of Ion channels and transporters – DynIon” funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemein- schaft. DynIon brings together highly experienced scientists combining experimental and computational strategies for studying ligand activation of ion channels and transporters.
In the context of this project, the gating mechanism of hyper- polarization-activated cyclic-nucleo- tide modulated (HCN) ion channels will be studied with electro- physiological, uorescence-micro- scopical, molecular-biological and mathematical approaches. Our lab has long lasting expertise in the mentioned techniques (Biskup et al., Nature 2007; Kusch et al., Neuron 2010; Kusch et al., Nature Chem. Biol. 2012; Nache et al., Sci. Signal. 2012; Nache et al., Nat. Commun. 2013, Brams et al., PNAS 2014) and provides a fruitful and productive working environment.
Profile of the candidate/requirements:
Applicants should have a doctoral degree in a natural-scientific field (e.g. Biophysics, Biochemistry, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Pharma- cology).
Salary: in accordance with TV-L (E 13)
Working hours: 40 hours/week
Commencement: next possible date
Term of employment: initially for 3 years
