About Us:
The LEGO Group is looking for talented students to join our amazing teams and contribute to the magic of play. As a LEGO Design Intern, you'll be part of an amazing organization that values creativity, innovation, and imagination. Our internships last for 4 months and provide a hands-on experience. You'll learn and grow while helping design and create our iconic products and experiences.
Where can you join? Meet our amazing teams:
- Model Design: Turn ideas into fun play experiences by using LEGO bricks to create innovative LEGO models.
- Element Design: Turn sketches into 3D models and prototypes, helping create new LEGO bricks.
- Graphic Design: Add a visual touch to our products with captivating illustrations that spark creativity.
- Digital Asset Design: Help build the digital library of LEGO products through 3D modeling, texturing, rigging, animations, and more.
- Interaction Design: Combine physical and digital play experiences to create an exciting play universe.
- Building Experience: Design and innovate new playful ways to enhance digital and physical LEGO building experiences for our diverse audiences.
- System in Play Innovation and Governance: Learn how we come up with new play ideas and keep things consistent for our fans.
- Design and Innovation Excellence: Help create phenomenal experiences for our team, fostering a culture of improvement and creativity.
Internship Eligibility:
- Open to students worldwide from any design-related field with a strong creative passion.
- Internships must count toward your educational program.
Application Details:
• You can apply to our talent pool anytime.
- Spring Internship (March-June): Apply by October 1st of the previous year.
- Autumn Internship (August-November): Apply by March 1st.
• Craft a unique A4 size poster that shows us why you should be our next intern.
• Showcase a portfolio that narrates your design journey.
• Submit your poster, portfolio, CV, and cover letter as PDFs.
• Applications must be in English.
Location:
The internship happens in Billund, Denmark. In Billund, you'll join over 500 enthusiastic LEGO Design colleagues who love play. As an intern you'll have the opportunity to live with fellow interns, building strong connections.
Your internship program:
Personal growth and teamwork are key to our success. In a dedicated onboarding program, you will get up to speed with the LEGO way of working. You will join one of our teams and with a mentor's guidance, you'll learn about product development at LEGO, surrounded by a mix of skills. Throughout your internship we will offer you opportunities to develop your skills and network in the LEGO Group. This is your chance to nurture your talent and grow as a design pro.
