As Senior Channel Manager Independent customers it will be your responsibility to lead and execute our defined Winning Independent Customers Digitally (WICD) strategy in our 7 European markets. Independent customers are defined as Foodservice operators (1-8 outlets) where the owner makes all relevant decisions. You will lead a team of two direct reports and work closely with our Global Foodservice Brand, Category and Digital Ecosystem teams and the Foodservice teams in the markets, according to clear E2E defined roles & responsibilities.

Other roles & responsibilities will be:

  • Implement and execute our WICD ‘Attract, Acquire, Grow & Retain’ building blocks: “winning with influencers” and digital lead generation via Paid and Unpaid Social Media, Marketing Automation, “winning the digital shelf” at Wholesalers’ ordering platforms, CRM system and loyalty program;
  • Implement and embed Wholesaler Joint Business Planning and Solution Selling as part of WICD execution;
  • Lead yearly WICD Operation Business Planning with participating markets;
  • Track and follow-up WICD KPIs and align and enforce corrective actions when needed;
  • Build WICD Sales Capabilities through WICD Centers of Excellence in above mentioned building blocks;
  • Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams;
  • Manage campaigning budgets, improve ROI campaigns year-on-year;
  • Adapt and implement WICD strategy and ways of working to latest market development, ensuring future proofing and staying ahead of digital and e-commerce trends.

We aim for this role to be placed in Aarhus, but for the right candidate we will be flexible in where they can be located within our 7 EU markets. You will need to have the flexibility to travel approximately 6-9 days per month to Denmark or other European markets.

What will make you successful
We imagine that the ideal candidate has sales and marketing experience doing business with Independent customers and Wholesalers in the Foodservice industry. Alternatively, a candidate would have sales experience with Independent customers and/or Wholesalers in a B2B environment. You hold a master's degree and have (sales) management experience.

Your high level of energy has a positive effect on your environment, enabling you to secure buy-in from the markets and your internal stakeholders. At the same time, you have a disciplined and structured approach to following up. You are diligent and collaborative, as success in this role depends on effective (sales funnel management) processes across teams and locations.

As you will be leading a team of two, you are a skilled people person who knows how to influence and motivate both directly and indirectly, and you enjoy setting direction and to take the lead. Finally, as English is our corporate language, good working proficiency is required.
