We are seeking a highly skilled and committed Sensory Scientist to join our Global Sensory Science Team, which provides critical sensory insights to support innovation, development, supply chain, and business development. The Sensory Team is an integral part of Product Development R&D and reports directly to the Head of the Pharmaceutical Development Team.

We are seeking a highly skilled Sensory Scientist with extensive experience in designing and conducting sensory studies utilizing both internal and external expert panels. The successful candidate will ensure the highest standards of validity and reliability in sensory testing. Additionally, the role requires proficiency in data analysis, drawing insightful conclusions, and effectively communicating results and recommendations to project teams and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
- Method Development and Adaptation: Design, develop, and adapt sensory methodologies to ensure high validity and reliability of sensory tests.
- Panel Management: Maintain and manage sensory expert panels, including performance follow-up, rescreening, and screening of new panelists.
- Panel Training: Develop and implement training programs to enhance panel competencies in specific areas of interest.
- Sample Preparation: Oversee the preparation and labeling of samples for both internal and external testing.
- Sensory Evaluations: Plan, set up, and facilitate sensory evaluations with trained panels, ensuring rigorous documentation and data collection.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Collaborate with other sensory scientists to perform advanced statistical analyses and report findings to project teams and stakeholders.
- Engagement with Latest Methodologies: Stay abreast of and apply the latest sensory science methodologies, aligning with Fertin's Ways of Working, and continuously seek opportunities for improvement in methodologies and processes.
- Research Project Support: Provide support to research projects, both with our Science Centers and university collaborations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including product development, quality assurance, and marketing to integrate sensory insights into broader business strategies.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all sensory testing and documentation comply with relevant regulatory standards and guidelines.

Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Food Science, Behavioral Science, Molecular Biology, or a related field, or equivalent experience in industrial applied sensory analysis.
- Experience: At least 5+ years of industrial experience within sensory and consumer science.
- Methodological and Analytical Expertise: Extensive experience with a broad range of sensory methodologies and advanced statistical knowledge, including uni- and multivariate analyses. Strong analytical skills with a meticulous and quality-conscious approach to documentation and stakeholder guidance.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in using sensory software such as EyeQuestion and statistical tools like XLSTAT.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks.
