Vestas' Continuous Improvement and Analytics (CI&A) team seeks a Specialist Data Analyst to contribute to significant advancements in quality. If you’re excited about turning complex data into clear insights and enjoy working in a global team, this role will give you the platform to influence meaningful change across the organization.
The Continuous Improvement and Analytics team (CI&A) is part of the global Vestas Quality organization.

The team’s vision is to engage all Vestas colleagues, ensuring that Vestas consistently meets and exceeds break-through quality performance results. Key elements of this vision are

  • Providing ways of working for continuous improvement and quality analytics
  • Execution of high impact opportunities that deliver tangible results
  • Demonstrating how to use data to guide choices

Responsibilities

  • Providing simple, scalable and uniform ways of working for continuous improvement and quality analytics
  • Building a deep, data-based understanding of Vestas quality issues, risks and opportunities
  • Deploying and animating a performance management approach and culture to: (1) see deviations to target early; (2) resolve problems to the root cause and (3) to replicate learnings and prevent recurrence
  • Deepening the understanding of (dashboard) performance and trends
  • Proposing high-impact initiatives, priorities and smart targets
  • Realizing goals through the pursuit of impactful opportunities and providing leadership and assistance for strategic quality initiatives
  • Partnering across Vestas to build and animate a global community of continuous improvement and quality analytics leaders and equip them with the required competences
  • Acknowledging commendable procedures being implemented and improving upon established premier techniques for Operational Effectiveness, Design for Quality, Collaborative Involvement, and Transformation Guidance

Qualifications

  • An engineering or similar technical background, master of science or master of business administration, or other relevant experience
  • Possesses a certified black belt or similar qualification, with experience in effectively initiating positive changes
  • Proven achievements in Quality, Manufacturing, R&D, or Supply Chain, underpinned by 5-10 years of experience in modern Lean/Six Sigma organizations
  • Proficient in working with teams, you have well-developed communication and relationship-building skills, enabling clear dialogues with a wide range of contributors within the organizational structure
  • Proficient in people management and adept at facilitating change, notably through mentoring, guiding, encouraging, and advancing the professional growth of employees)
  • Capable of self-motivated and imaginative work, recognizing areas that require project enhancement
  • High ethical standards and integrity are "must haves"

Competencies

  • Solid, demonstrated analytical skills. Experience with several tools like Excel, SQL, PowerBI, Spotfire and Minitab, as well as scripting languages like Python or Matlab. Familiarity with Cloud Frontiers technologies, including Dataiku, Databricks, and Snowflake, is regarded as beneficial
  • Ability to mentor, coach and guide experts, managers & senior leaders on root cause analysis, improvement solutions & building business case
  • Good at building a network and establishing partnerships
  • Committed to realizing significant and verifiable progress with a focus on tangible outcomes
  • Agile and able to simplify complex problems into simple logical milestones
  • Proficient in English and adept at both verbal and written exchanges
