Now you have your chance to become a Consultant with special focus on applications and middleware products, such as IBM MQ, WebLogic, Tomcat, WebSphere or Workload Schedulers. The role is based in Applications Support team in Aeven, which also provides services within a wide range of other types of applications, from basic monitoring-based operations to full-stack platform management and consultancy.
You’ll be part of a team handling daily operational tasks, but consultancy and advisory as well, standardization and optimization of middleware-related solutions for a wide variety of customers. The team consists of approximately 70 employees across Denmark, Czech Republic and Philippines, from operations-oriented generalists to deep specialists within various middleware and application related areas.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Providing Application level support to Danish clients, processing incidents and change requests, ensuring the highest level of service.
- Performing ticket resolution, healthchecks, log analysis, system maintenance and patching, root cause analysis and similar tasks.
- Participation in projects, such as onboarding of new customers, platform migrations, upgrades of existing systems etc.
- Taking part in certificate renewal, vulnerability patching, application start/stop, jobs scheduling and advanced reporting.
- Contribute to the teams’ knowledge-base by writing and updating KB articles.
- Consulting customers on the possible roadmaps for their solutions and acting as a trusted advisor
- Automating and scripting tasks and processes through Continuous Operations Improvement
- Occasionally participate in night on-call duty support [rotation approx once a month or less].
Qualifications and experience:
- Familiarity with some of the following platforms: IBM MQ, WebLogic, Tomcat, WebSphere, TWS or JBoss; knowledge of various Application services over both Linux and Windows OS.
- Strong competencies in relation to incident handling and troubleshooting
- Scripting knowledge [Powershell, Bash, Python or equivalent]
- Business mindset with direct customer interaction experience
- Structured, good at documentation practices and focused on high quality deliveries
- Fluency in English, familiarity with ITIL, and work within global delivery setup
- Knowledge of neigboring areas [networking, cloud, vmware, DB] or programming languages like Java, .Net or HTML is welcome.
