A cornerstone in this transformation is efficient and effective Innovation Portfolio management. We are looking for a new member to join our Innovation Portfolio & Technology Transformation team that will help drive and continuously improve the Development and Maintenance processes for innovative solutions for Hempel’s customers across the globe.

Do you thrive in disciplined funnel management and progress-oriented stakeholder collaboration?

As Innovation Portfolio Manager your daily focus will be on driving transparency, discipline and integrity in Hempel’s cross-organizational innovation portfolio. You will take lead in driving progress in innovation activities, conduct active funnel management and gate keeping in Development and Maintenance stage gate model processes, be pivotal in sharpening a fail fast - learn fast mentality, all the while you will be working closely with main stakeholders to understand their reality. You will continuously keep an eye on how to optimize Innovation Portfolio management for us to discuss in the team.

What will your tasks and responsibilities include?

• Drive continuous refinement of Innovation Development and Maintenance processes

• Maintain and improve Innovation Portfolio templates through close collaboration with key collaborators, including customers, partners, team members, project managers, solution management, product management, etc.

• Facilitate selected decision board meetings

• Gate keeping of the Innovation Portfolio stage gate model

• Communicate decisions to key stakeholders

• Document and educate key stakeholders in Innovation Portfolio management

• Integrate and co-develop Innovation Portfolio data foundation together with the team

• Setting up a structured approach to fail fast - learn fast

What do we look for in you?

• You likely have previous experience from Innovation Portfolio management and / or portfolio management / project management.

• Your toolbox might be based upon hands-on experience with process mapping, prioritization, planning, resource allocation, building business cases, meeting facilitation, documentation of decisions, risk matrices, stakeholder mapping, retrospectives written and verbal communication.

• You might have experience with both waterfall and agile project models.

• You have an analytical educational background, like engineering, science, business or similar.

• You are curious and you know how to balance perfection with pragmatism.

• You have a genuine interest in both physical and digital technology-based offerings.

• Ideally you are capable of both thinking conceptually and of being specific.

• It will be a benefit to have a fundamental business understanding as well as a customer-centric approach to innovation.
