If “Yes” – We are looking for an Electrical System Engineer to join our team in Prague, Czech Republic.
As part of the Terma Space organization, you will contribute to a small team in Prague working on ground support projects in the Space / Ground Support Business Unit.
The job will include a high diversity of tasks in an international team, primarily comprising system analysis and design of electronic/electrical systems composed of advanced instruments or custom designed electronics boards.
Our projects comprise the design and construction of satellite testing systems including hardware and software, or Mission Control Systems used for large European space missions.
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will typically include:
- Analysis of system requirements, overall system design, estimation of work effort, selection of electrical components, designing tests, supervision of or involvement in hands-on implementation and testing, and creating documentation according to customer standards.
- Performing electrical measurements and test procedures with proper technical output documentation
- Mechanical and electrical assembly of rack-based or other systems including specialized cabling
- Other tasks may occasionally include design of printed circuit boards
This is a full-time position located in Prague, Czech Republic, to start as soon as possible.
Qualifications & Competencies
Applicants shall have an academic background with a university degree (or equivalent) in Engineering and experience in working in high-tech industry such as Space, Aerospace or Automotive.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- University degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum 3 years work experience in the electrical / electronics industry
- Strong background in electrical engineering or hardware systems design, or PCB design
- Knowledge of electrical measurement systems, device automation and related data processing
- CZ Paragraph 50 certification to work on electrical devices
- Advanced knowledge of English language
- Ability and willingness to learn.
- Organizational skills, ability to work individually.
Please note that applicants must hold all appropriate documentation and permits to work in Europe.
Any of the following are welcome:
- Ability to develop custom-made hardware with ECAD & MCAD systems (Altium Designer. EAGLE, KiCAD, AUTOCAD, F360 etc.).
- Knowledge of Embedded C/C++, LabView, Python and other scripting languages (e.g. MATLAB).
- Knowledge of electrical simulation systems (LT SPICE, MicroCAP).
