We are growing our team in PeB Analytics in Denmark. We are looking for a person that loves working with data and analysis to join our existing Analytics team. In PeB we are a group of specialists in various fields: everything from digital marketing and content production to web analysis and data science. About this opportunity
This is a role within Personal Banking Analytics Denmark / Personal Banking Denmark.
In Personal Banking we are building the omnichannel customer journey seamless experience and for that we need to connect different data sources across our platforms and applications. We want to send relevant personalised messages to our customers offering the right product or service, in the right channel, at the right time.
We are looking for a curious and driven Analytics Engineer that is responsible for development and maintenance of local data storage to enable data availability and efficient utilization possibilities for local analytics team members. You will be providing clean, accurate and high quality datasets. These tasks are crucial part of implementing our Data and Analytics Strategy. You will collaborate with pears from a Nordic point of view to drive these initiatives from a Nordic Scale point of view. Joining the team will provide you with opportunities to use your experience with data management, data analysis, data engineering and business analysis, to support data-savvy end-users. What you will be doing:
As the Analytics Engineer, you will empower end users to answer their own questions regarding for instance product portfolio analysis, sales funnels, campaign performance and customer segmentation. You will be working on setting up clean data sets and data modelling/structure that allows us to have the same view across different teams. This means making use of the infrastructure available in Nordea to write data transformation jobs through code and create reusable data assets for analysts and data scientists that get updated in an automated way with a given frequency.
In addition you will be:
- Extracting the underlying data from existing databases and centralizing it to a local data storage
- Drive Data Strategy with Nordic initiatives
- Writing (complex) data transformations in SQL, using the available data build tools in Nordea, that will create the metrics needed for the analysts.
- Documenting the process for building the different data sets to ensure a high quality foundation for data analysist/scientists. Maintaining data documentation and definitions.
- Collaborating very close with Data Scientists and Business requestors within PeB Denmark and Nordic counterparties
- Participating actively in development initiatives within Digital Sales teams to expand the usage of data in marketing campaigns.
- Supporting the maintenance or development of reports and analysis tools (e.g. PowerBI & java-applications)

You have a blended profile of skills and mindset of a data engineer, data scientist and a data analyst. You take ownership of your tasks, and enjoy data gathering, cleaning, engineering, and documenting as you build.
You have good interpersonal and communication skills to ask the right questions to stakeholders and colleagues. You are comfortable working on your own but also as part of a small team. You thrive in a cross-functional set up.

Your experience and background:
- Academic degree in highly quantitative discipline or specialisation such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Software Engineering
- 2-3 years of experience working in data-driven landscapes. Ideally you have experience as a data engineer and have discovered the business aspect, or you have been working as a data analyst and have strong tech experience
- Strong SQL skills, applied knowledge of Java
- Proficient in written and spoken English
- To be able to write and speak Danish is a advantage
Your application will benefit from demonstrating experience in the below:
- You know your ways around tools like Snowflake, Git and Power BI
- Skills in web frameworks such as Angular
- Experience in data analysis, e.g. Python & R
- You understand the principles of working with an Agile development approach.
- Skills in written and spoken Finnish
