Risk Engineer

Overview
As a Risk Assessment Engineer your primary responsibility is to identify, evaluate, assess and mitigate risks associated with our products, processes, and systems improving NOV’s operation reliability and efficiency. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

NOV’s business unit Subsea Production Systes (SPS) is renowned for delivering reliable and innovative subsea energy production solutions that enhance customer energy portfolios. With a rich history in the offshore oil and gas industry, the company is today also at the forefront of selected future technologies, including water treatment, ammonia storage and carbon injection solutions, all aimed at supporting customers in reducing CO2 emissions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Risk Analysis: Conduct risk assessments and analyses to identify potential impacts and threats to NOV’s operation reliability and efficiency.
  • Risk Mitigation: Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and plans.
  • Reporting and Communication: Prepare reports and communicate results of risk analyses and mitigation plans to stakeholders.
  • Monitoring and Follow-up: develop controls and monitoring measures and follow-up on the implementation of mitigation plans.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, quality regulations and standards, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of risk analyses, evaluations, and mitigation plans.
  • Support to develop and implement a Risk Assessment approach within relevant internal processes.
  • Work close and collaborate with all relevant internal process to rise risks and manage them.
  • Travel when required.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Essential:

  • Proven experience in risk management, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in working with fabrication processes, supporting teams in identifying and mitigating risks to enhance operational reliability and efficiency.
  • Strong knowledge of risk analysis techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills and a high level of professional ethics.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Ability to drive and implement change effectively.
  • Intermediate English language level.
  • Computer literacy (including good command of Microsoft Office Excel, Word and Outlook).

Desired:

  • Relevant education within bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Production or related ones).
  • Certified Risk Management Professional (CRMP) by the Project Management Institute (PMI).
  • Experience in working with Flexible Pipe fabrication.
