As we continue our journey to becoming the best and smartest everyday bank in the Nordics, we are looking for a Finance Operation Specialist to join us in our Copenhagen office and take ownership of our reconciliation processes, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance, so that we can establish a more scalable and proactive finance function.

As our new Finance Operation Specialist, you will be part of our Finance team, reporting toJane Raagaard. The team currently comprises 8 amazing individuals working across Copenhagen and Aarhus, who are focused on delivering high-quality financial reporting and insights within the broader Finance function, led byRobert Stambro, CFO.

What will you do?

  • Own and improve the reconciliation process for account statements and bank transactions, ensuring daily accuracy and completeness across multiple accounts and banks.
  • Identify discrepancies, investigate root causes, and ensure missing data is addressed while maintaining transparency and control over financial data.
  • Drive process automation and optimization to transition from a reactive to a proactive accounting function, collaborating with tech teams to explore AI and automation solutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple teams and external banking partners (approx. 10 different banks) to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency.
  • Support month-end closing activities, VAT compliance, and financial reporting.
  • Document process improvements and develop SOPs to ensure scalability and efficiency.
  • Analyze large sets of financial data to detect inconsistencies and provide actionable insights.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Proven experience in reconciliations and financial data validation.
  • Curious, proactive, and able to analyze and convey financial information simply.
  • Ability to identify inefficiencies and drive automation and optimization initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and IT skills, with hands-on experience in MS Office tools, especially Excel.
  • Comfortable reaching out to stakeholders across different teams and external banking partners.
  • Fluent in both English and Danish.
  • A degree in finance, economics, or a similar discipline.
