Job Description
Are you a highly motivated and experienced financial controller ready to make a significant impact? Join the Dedicated & Machinery Drives (DMD) Division at Danfoss Drives, a global leader in driving energy efficiency and machine productivity. As the Financial Controller for our Machinery and Compact Drives (MCD) Product Line, you'll be a key business partner, influencing strategy and driving financial performance within a dynamic and growing segment of our business.

About Dedicated & Machinery Drives (DMD) Division:
DMD represents over half of Danfoss Drives' revenue, focusing on innovative product portfolios that empower industries like HVACR, Water, Food & Beverage, and industrial machinery. With a team of over 1,500 colleagues across key development campuses (Denmark, Italy, India, China, US) and production sites worldwide, DMD is at the forefront of delivering customized, sustainable solutions. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a division with approximately €900M in annual revenue, and specifically supporting the MCD Product Line, which generates close to €135M annually (+ portfolio responsibility beyond that).

The Opportunity:
As the Controller for the MCD Product Line, you will be an integral part of the PL leadership team, directly impacting strategic decisions and financial outcomes. Based in Graasten, Denmark, you'll collaborate closely with a diverse team of controllers while enjoying significant business exposure and opportunities for professional growth within Danfoss.

Job Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:

  • Divisional Controlling Support: Support the DMD Division Controller with financial management, analysis, and reporting, including leading fixed expense controlling and driving working capital management.
  • Product Line Business Partner: Act as the primary finance business partner for the MCD Product Line, actively participating in the leadership team and influencing strategy development and execution.
  • Financial Leadership: Co-manage the business by providing sound financial analysis, business modeling, and risk/opportunity assessments to guide strategic and tactical decisions.
  • Performance Management: Proactively forecast and challenge financial plans, budgets, and business cases, driving key financial KPIs such as sales growth, profitability, and forecast accuracy.
  • Global Collaboration: Ensure controlling oversight of assigned areas, collaborating closely with finance colleagues in China and other locations to maintain high-quality financial reporting and compliance.

The ideal candidate possesses these skills.

  • Master’s degree in Finance/Economics, HD-R, or MBA, and/or complemented by relevant business experience.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in a finance role within an international organization, ideally in an industrial setting.
  • Strong financial controlling experience with hands-on experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP (knowledge of Danfoss SAP/OneERP/BI is a plus).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate complex financial information into accessible insights for non-financial colleagues.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken (Danish skills are a plus).
  • A global mindset, strong analytical skills, and the ability to influence and build partnerships across cultures.
  • Beneficial competencies includes: Strong understanding of value chains, Problem-solving and facilitation skills, and experience in strategic forecasting and planning.
  • A drive and interest in having a broad exposure to financial controlling topics, and ability to adapt to changing business needs/focus.
