Do you have a steady hand and a keen eye for detail? Are you ready to cut your way into a new adventure? We are seeking a laboratory technician for a 1-year temporary position in our Histopathology department in Glostrup.

Here, you'll be performing a very essential task: cutting tissue sections (2-3 days per week) like a pro, ensuring each slide is a masterpiece.

Histopathology consists of 7 laboratory technicians and 2 academics. Your primary task will be to support histology-related tasks such as preparing tissue sections, embedding blocks, staining with H&E on the Coverstainer or IHC.

Your tasks will include:

• Preparation of tissue sections (2-3 days per week)
• Registration and quality control of incoming tissue blocks
• Maintenance of the tissue block library
• Daily contact with users of Histopathology
• Maintenance and control of equipment

Qualifications

• Background as a biomedical laboratory scientist or laboratory technician
• Experience with cutting tissue sections is a great advantage – we need someone who has flair for cutting tissue sections.
• You prioritize quality and can work independently
• You have a good sense of humor and a positive attitude, and you thrive in a day with many different tasks
• You have an eye for detail without losing the overview
