Head of Energy Utilities, Software Product Unit

Tietoevry’s new product portfolio is based on scalable public cloud-based modules. Use cases are built by combining modules. Modules, partly co-developed with Microsoft, are the foundation of the technology and business capabilities for the energy industry.

As the Head of Energy Utilities Software Product Unit, you will develop and implement a strong product vision that aligns with the overall Tietoevry product strategy while being accountable for the profit and loss of the entire Energy Utilities product portfolio. Your role will be crucial in driving the success of Energy Utilities software products and enhancing our mission to provide next-generation energy industry solutions. You will focus on developing products in alignment with market needs, ensuring that we continuously adapt and innovate to stay ahead of industry trends.

By prioritizing customer feedback and market research, you will refine our offerings to optimize business performance and drive profitability. Your responsibilities will include strategic planning, high-level product strategy, and lifecycle management of current and future products, alongside operational development and team management. A key expectation of your role will be to leverage the fast-moving world of Data & AI to enhance our products, ensuring they not only meet but exceed the evolving needs of our customers in the education sector.

Responsibilities:

• Leadership and Strategic Planning:
• Develop and execute a strategic plan for the Energy & Utilities Product Unit aligning it with Tietoevry's overall objectives and strategy.
• Provide visionary leadership, setting clear goals and priorities for the unit.
• Product Development and Management
• Oversee the development, enhancement, and maintenance of the Energy Utilities product portfolio
• Drive innovation and ensure that solutions meet the Energy Utilities market practises and market standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align product roadmap and prioritize feature development.
• Working very close with the Sales, Product Management and Product Services functions to develop and execute go-to-market strategies, ensuring market penetration and customer acquisition
• Engage with existing and potential customers, understanding their needs and challenges, and align product plans accordingly.
• Support revenue growth through successful product positioning and competitive differentiation.
• Team Management and Development:
• Lead and inspire a diverse team in functions including Products & Strategy, Technology & Development, Product Services, and Sales.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, creativity, and accountability.
• Support career development and employee engagement initiatives to attract and retain top talent.
  

Qualifications:

• Strong experience in software product development.
• Strong background and network within the Nordic and European Energy Industry
• Higher education within Information Technology or a related field.
• Extensive leadership experience within the software industry, preferably in a product-centric unit.
• Demonstrated experience from doing business based on a SaaS business model.
• Knowledge of the potential of technology trends such as AI to enhance customers' business and internal processes in the organization.
• Excellent strategic thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proven track record in driving product innovation and revenue growth.
• Experience in running an international diverse team
