We are seeking a Senior Engineer Maintenance and Reliability – Offshore Wind to join our team in Haugesund.

About the position
Due to increasing activity within renewable energy and offshore wind, Aibel is strengthening its Offshore Wind department in Haugesund. We are looking for a skilled and experienced engineer within maintenance and reliability who can contribute to Aibel’s exciting future within Field Development and Offshore Wind (FD&OW).

You will be working in a multidisciplinary environment, contributing to studies, tenders, FEED, and detail engineering phases of major offshore wind projects – including high voltage substations (HVDC and HVAC), offshore wind farms, and electrification scopes.

Responsibilities and tasks include

  • Establish philosophies for Maintenance, Reliability, Spare Parts, and Operations
  • Perform Reliability-Centred Maintenance (RCM) analyses, including Tag Hierarchy, Consequence Classification, and Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA)
  • Perform Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) analyses
  • Estimate preventive maintenance efforts and develop optimal maintenance programs
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to integrate RAM/RCM principles into design
  • Provide recommendations for Condition Monitoring based on RAM/FMECA
  • Assess and evaluate spare parts requirements and SPIR lists

Qualifications

  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience within maintenance and operations
  • Experience with RAM, RCM, and FMECA methodologies
  • Familiarity with Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM) and spare parts management
  • Experience from offshore wind, oil and gas or similar complex industries

  • Ability to work independently and in cross-disciplinary teams
  • Solid understanding of project execution and engineering interfaces
  • Committed to quality and meeting deadlines
  • Proactive, curious, and eager to share knowledge
  • Fluent in written and oral English; knowledge of Norwegian is an advantage
