As our new Senior Legal Counsel, you will be deeply involved in the way Danske Bank Group will work to ensure regulatory traction and oversight in the future and will be able to shape our ways of working.
Be a part of the transformation and institutionalisation
You have the chance to join a banking institution in a maternity cover with an end date in February 2026. You will experience how we excel in a swift operational tempo, agile ways of working, low management stratification, and a comprehensive commitment to stakeholder experience.
As a part of the Regulatory Model Management team, you will join a team responsible for creating a single pipeline of all regulatory initiatives across the Danske Bank Group. Your main area of responsibility will be to anchor ownership, oversee regulatory implementation, ensure traction and reporting to management in regard to our Regulatory Model and portfolio. As part of you daily work, you will:
- Ensure corporate governance by anchoring regulatory initiatives in the organisation for implementation and execution based on e.g., internal regulatory policies
- Facilitate early impact assessments of large and transversal regulatory initiatives to initiate anchoring and to support the owner of the regulatory initiative
- Prepare initial risk impacts for the regulatory initiatives to increase the transparency of the risk level of the regulatory portfolio
- Prepare and deliver consolidated reporting on entire portfolio of ongoing regulatory initiatives to Group Regulatory Committee
- Provide support to stakeholders such as business units, programme/project leads, Tribe Landscape, 2nd LoD
Collaboration, flexibility and engagement
We are looking for a team member that is skilled at creating and maintaining relations, keeping overview of complex regulations and who thrives in a lively working environment. You are curious by nature and are motivated to address challenges with a creative and solution-oriented mindset.
Your background:
- You have 4+ years relevant experience in regulatory traction and/or oversight within a highly regulated industry such as the financial, pharmaceutical or equivalent
- You hold a Master’s degree in Law or Commercial Law (e.g., LL.M., cand.jur, or cand.merc.jur)
- You have knowledge of regulatory compliance, control methodologies, and regulatory impact analyses and assessments
- You are comfortable presenting and conveying legal cases to stakeholders with a non-legal background
- You are fluent in English (spoken and written), and it is a prerequisite that you can read Danish legislation
- You have great stakeholder management skills and can ensure execution since you will collaborate with many different people in different levels of the organisation
