DevOps Engineer working with Kubernetes and Infrastructure-as-Code

Ørsted

Join us in this role where you’ll be part of a wonderful team developing and operating Kubernetes services. We’re working in an international Agile setup (SAFe), building strong cloud platforms for our IT solutions, supporting developers in deploying and maintaining Kubernetes, and taking an active part in the digital transformation. You’ll be one of almost thirty specialists within a Competence Centre where your personal and professional development is prioritised.

You’ll be part of the System Team within the Platform ART (Agile Release Train), where you, together with your colleagues, will be working alongside engaged and supportive professionals from Engineering & Construction Solution Train to develop, operate, and standardize Kubernetes and cloud services. These services play a critical role in optimizing data transformation, automation, and infrastructure management across engineering teams. Operating in a global matrix organization, you’ll collaborate closely with data engineers, developers, security architects, and integration teams to enhance cloud-native adoption and improve operational excellence across ART's. As a team, we value curiosity and fun working together, therefore we combine office days with days working from home.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • designing, implementing and maintaining scalable and resilient Kubernetes clusters in Azure and AWS, ensuring high availability, security, and performance
  • enhancing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices, enabling self-service provisioning, automation, and improved operational efficiency
  • acting as a Kubernetes and IaC Subject Matter Expert, providing technical guidance and best practices to feature teams while fostering a culture of DevSecOps
  • supporting Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) to optimize deployment pipelines and improve release management
  • cooperating with architects, security teams, and platform engineers to align infrastructure configurations with organizational standards, compliance mandates, and operational excellence initiatives.

To succeed in the role, you:

  • are a team player with strong technical skills and are motivated by transforming the technology in close cooperation with a broad variety of stakeholders
  • have experience working with cloud technology and have previously deployed and managed Kubernetes on AKS or EKS
  • are familiar with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform or other automation tools), Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, JFrog or other CI/CD tools
  • feel comfortable working with at least one scripting language, such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
  • have at least a basic understanding of network protocols, routing, network security, application security, security protocols, cryptography, DNS, etc.
  • willing to work in an Agile setup in an international, English speaking environment.

Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.
