We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Student Assistant Data Engineer to join our Data Management department. This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in data engineering, working with cutting-edge technologies and contributing to the development of our data infrastructure.

As a Student Assistant Data Engineer, you will support the team in managing and optimizing our data systems, ensuring data quality, and developing data pipelines. You will work closely with experienced data engineers and analysts to deliver high-quality data solutions.

You will play an important role in:

• Assisting in the design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines (ETL/ELT processes) using Azure services.
• Writing and optimizing SQL queries for data extraction and transformation.
• Supporting data modeling efforts to ensure data is structured effectively for analysis.
• Implementing data quality checks and monitoring data integrity.
• Developing and deploying machine learning and AI models in the cloud.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to gather data requirements and deliver data solutions.
• Assisting in the development and maintenance data products documentation.
• Conducting research and staying updated on the latest data engineering, AI, and cloud development trends and technologies.
• Providing support in data visualization and reporting tasks.

We imagine that you:

• Are currently enrolled in a university program (preferably in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field that includes Business Analytics or AI).
• Have a basic understanding of core data concepts, including data types, quality, governance, and security.
• Have had an introduction to SQL and have touched upon concepts such as data modeling and pipelines.
• Have some experience with programming languages such as Python.
• Have an interest in AI and machine learning, with some knowledge of basic ML concepts.
• Are familiar with data tools (e.g., Power BI or Excel) and can create basic reports and dashboards.
• Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Are able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Are fluent in English.
