Are you an engineering student and would you like an internship within the long-term development of the Danish railway?

We are currently seeking a motivated student for an internship in the Capacity Development section at Banedanmarks Traffic Division. In this section, we are responsible for capacity allocation (timetable planning) on the railway network and its development.

You will be part of a team where you will collaborate to analyze projects, assess the traffic value, and utilization of infrastructure, and contribute to decision-making for infrastructure projects.

There is a strong culture of knowledge-sharing, and we work closely with other departments across Banedanmark, giving you the opportunity to immerse yourself in both technical and practical aspects. This will allow you to make the most of your internship with us.

A varied daily life with a focus on knowledge-sharing
Throughout your internship, you will have the opportunity to work on analyses related to projects in the Infrastructure Plan 2035 (timetable planning, journey time calculations, capacity calculations, technical supplementary analyses, testing alternative methods, and traffic flow simulations). In addition, there is also the possibility to work on the development of modeling tools and development projects to support analyses and processes in traffic planning.

Who are you?
You are a development-oriented engineering student, with a background in various engineering disciplines, such as mathematical modeling, software, mechanical engineering, construction, physics, as well as design and process development.

Moreover, you are interested in the many facets of engineering and look forward to developing your skills. You are highly engaged in project groups and thrive when exploring something new.

Salary and Employment
The internship lasts 20 weeks (100 working days), with an expected start date of September 1, 2025. Your workplace will be in Ringsted, close to public transportation. Your working hours will be 37 hours per week and you will receive a salary during the internship period, according to the applicable internship agreement with IDA.

It is a requirement that you are an engineering student.
