Therefore, we are looking for a Specialist and Process Owner for Materials & Processes Engineering to become part of this journey and contribute to our overall purpose – securing people through advanced technology.

Your role in our team
This role offers the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment including high-precision Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMMs) and Precision Milling Machine (PMMs) and heat treatment oven from a process engineering perspective. You will also stay current with emerging technologies to optimize process performance and participate in automation projects like our nearly completed Tool Management system for CNC cutting tools.

As our new Specialist and Process Owner for metal- and composites machining, metal forming and hardening, you will be responsible for manual operations (drilling, countersinking) and Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) machining of composites and metals, sheet metal forming, and metal heat treatment processes within our production flow. You will moreover be responsible for ensuring these processes meet customer requirements and industry standards, troubleshoot process and material issues.

You will join a diverse team of 5 Specialists and Senior Specialists with varied backgrounds in gender, nationality, age, and education. While each member manages specific responsibilities, we maintain a collaborative approach where every challenge is shared by the team. The Materials & Processes (M&P) department interfaces extensively across the organization, handling a diverse workload. Despite our busy environment, we prioritize work-life balance through flexible scheduling and remote work options several days per week. You will be working both with technical documentation, research, and data management as well as hand-on in collaboration with our skilled manufacturing team.

How you will make a meaningful contribution
Your key responsibilities include

• Requirements management and interpretation
• Documenting processes and maintaining technical records including interpreting specifications, updating process instructions, writing reports, and developing comprehensive test plans and analyses
• Qualification and validation of materials and processes
• Collaborate on future-focused machine selection, tool management and equipment optimization projects
• Supporting internal and external audits
• Providing technical support and advisory to internal stakeholders
• Representing us in technical discussions with customers, suppliers, and external collaborators

Bring your world class expertise into play
You are fluent in English both in writing and verbal at a professional level. Danish is an advantage but not a requirement

• You have a background in engineering, e.g. as a Mechanical Engineer preferably, combined with a background in process and/or material engineering, potentially with knowledge of tribology and metallurgy
• Ideally, you possess a technical mindset with deep understanding of the complex interactions at material interfaces when cutting tools engage with both metallic and composite materials, as well as knowledge of sheet metal forming operations, and heat treatment procedures
• Your expertise should blend hands-on experience with theoretical knowledge, enabling you to navigate from detailed requirements specifications to practical production implementation
• Aerospace manufacturing experience is valuable though not required

Moreover, it will be highly valuable if you have experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Process engineering in a manufacturing environment
• Machining knowledge
• Sheet metal forming processes and technologies
• Heat treatment and metal hardening procedures
• Materials science knowledge, e.g., corrosion mechanics, metallurgy, material interface interactions, or tribology

As a person, you excel at collaboration across departments and with external partners both nationally and internationally, demonstrating the ability to assemble effective cross-functional teams. Strong written communication skills are essential for creating clear technical instructions and explaining complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders. You approach your work with great analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset.
