Job Description
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Laboratory Manager to lead our product testing laboratory at Nordborg. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the lab, including team leadership, task prioritization, budget responsibility and people development. You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure high-quality, timely and cost-effective product testing aligned with business needs inside our product development environment.

Success Criteria for the role will be: Maintain a high level of team motivation, engagement, and technical competence & execute product testing activities according to plan and meeting quality expectations.

Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

  • Lead, organize, and develop a team of 10 testing experts.
  • Foster teamwork and a cross-functional mindset across the organization.
  • Ensure availability, maintenance and further investments of testing equipment and tools.
  • Plan and execute product tests with a strong focus on quality and efficiency.
  • Maintain open communication with test requesters and stakeholders.
  • Monitor and report progress, address deviations and manage deliveries.
  • Host regular team meetings and workshops following Danfoss guidelines.
  • Promote a structured approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • Prioritize tasks balancing time, cost, and quality dimensions.
  • Set clear goals for the team and track performance metrics.

Background & Skills
The ideal candidate possesses these skills.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical field (mechanical or electrical preferred).
  • Proven leadership experience in a cross-functional environment.
  • Technical background in manufacturing or product testing.
  • Hands-on experience with problem-solving methodologies and root cause analysis.
  • Fluent in English (CET-6 or equivalent level).
  • Danish language will be considered as advantage.
