Your new team
Our Asset Management & Operations (AMO) Department consists of 96 colleagues, based in Denmark, Germany, Poland, Lithuania, Brazil and Australia. The department consists of Technical Asset Management, Commercial Asset Management, Operations & Maintenance (O&M), and PtX Asset Management & Operations. We are responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of power-producing assets, offering asset management services for both internal and external assets, and providing power sales services.

The PtX Asset Management & Operations Team within the AMO Department is responsible for defining and executing the operational strategies for new PtX assets. Further, the team undertakes the asset management of operational PtX assets within European Energy’s portfolio.

Your new role
As our new PtX Asset Manager, you will coordinate and handle technical, commercial and operational matters related to asset management services for PtX assets in Denmark. You will contribute to the ongoing development of our asset management function and play a central part in building long-term relationships with clients and stakeholders.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across the business and have significant opportunities to shape your role and grow professionally.

Scope of Work

  • Overall responsibility for the day-to-day performance and optimization of PtX assets, including full ownership of OPEX budgeting, P&L responsibility, and operational performance.
  • Supporting the development and implementation of operational strategies for new PtX projects, ensuring smooth transitions from construction to operations.
  • Ensuring technical compliance with relevant standards and regulatory frameworks, and drive continuous improvement across assets.
  • Managing commercial relationships with off takers, ensuring alignment with contractual obligations and performance metrics.
  • Overseeing and coordinating external service providers, including logistics partners, maintenance contractors, and other operational vendors.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders such as investors, local partners, utilities, landowners, and internal teams including PtX, EPC, and Energy Trading.
  • Staying informed on industry trends, technologies, and regulatory developments within the PtX sector, and actively contribute to European Energy’s position at the forefront of the industry.

Prerequisites to succeed in the job

  • A bachelor’s degree as a minimum within Marine Engineering, Energy, Business Administration, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or similar.
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience in roles such as Asset Manager, Operations Manager, Superintendent, or similar.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams and complex projects.
  • Solid commercial and financial understanding, with a structured approach to managing budgets and business performance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Full professional proficiency in English, ability to easily read and understand Danish is an advantage.
