Join us as our new Construction Site Engineer (Electrical Works) TEM for Tunnel Electro-Mechanical works at the Fehmarnbelt Project, ensuring the design & build contractors meet the TEM Contract requirements.
The Job
You will play a crucial role in the Construction Team, alongside with the Site and Construction Manager, coordinating electrical works and site supervision for TEM projects such as portal areas, toll stations, motorway and railway tunnels. This includes services like power supply, tunnel ventilation, controls and automation, CCTV, lighting, HVAC, traffic management, tolling, and drainage.
Your key task will be:
- Attending the full project implementation lifecycle.
- Coordination & site monitoring of the TEM Electrical Contract works including other related construction activities e.g. parallel / utility works.
- Monitor the TEM Contract Testing and Commissioning activities from stand alone to integration testing.
- Reporting on site progress and activities.
- Strict adherence to Health & Safety and CSR. Ensure all parties are conducting safe activities in and around the job sites and on the Fehmarnbelt.
- Ensure project compliance with the contract drawings and specifications.
- Review the contractors work methods, risk assessments, design, materials, quality plans and equipment.
- Review / coordinate the daily or weekly work schedule with all stakeholders.
- Direct reports and updates to the teams Design, Project Control, Scheduling etc.
Your profile: A dynamic and proactive Electrical Site Engineer
You have a degree in electrical or industrial engineering or similar. While experience from large projects is beneficial, we welcome driven individuals who have the ambition to excel in this role.
The ideal candidate will have the following key competencies & qualifications:
- Proven ability to handle electrical installations on large construction projects including testing & commissioning and handover using strong multi-tasking skills.
- Proven ability to manage difficult schedules and project demands while maintaining strict adherence to project safety & environmental programs.
- Good knowledge of construction site safety protocols and ability to enforce project safety programs.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate construction requirements and issues clearly to both construction and non-construction audiences.
- Bilingual or professional proficiency in English.
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated and pro-active with good attention to detail.
