Technical Project Manager

This position is based at our friendly office in Warsaw, PL and you will join our Static & Market Data team. The team which is part of the Investments & Markets domain is in charge of purchasing, collecting and distributing market data internally in the organization to other departments who have various usages with the data for internal and external purposes.

As we need to initiate a new project for replacing our existing pricing server with a new preferably ‘buy over build’ solution, we need to engage with a person who, as a Technical Project Manager, can drive this project forward. We are looking for a person with project management, stakeholder management and business analyst skills. It is important to engage a person who thrives in reaching out to various stakeholders within BEC as well as to the member banks.

At BEC, we prefer to collaborate often in the office, but we also keep the opportunity to

work remotely up to 8 days per month.
Your direct manager will be Development Manager situated in our Roskilde, DK office for the Static & Market Data Team.

Primary task and responsibilities include:

• Leading the planning and implementation of technical project.
• Developing detailed project plans to track progress.
• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for flawless project execution.
• Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs.
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
• Working with stakeholders like architects, business analysts, software engineers, other teams, 3rd party vendors, member banks to succeed driving the project to implementation as well as engaging in various cleanup activities of obsolete software.
• Travel to Denmark up to 4 times a year with staying 2-3 days at a time.

To succeed you will have:

• 3+ years of project management experience, particularly in technical projects.
• A curious mind with an open nature and desire to knowledge-share with others.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, computer science, a related field, or similar.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficiency with project management software and tools (e.g. Jira and Confluence).
• Ability to drive projects forward and thrive even when resistance Is met.

It’s nice-to-have:

• Banking sector knowledge is an advantage but not a prerequisite.
• Experience within a technical field is an advantage.
• Ability to find solutions and connect the right people for moving forward.
