Senior Software Developer – develop features for growing library solution

Having responsibility and paving the way for new initiatives
As our new colleague, your primary responsibility will be leading feature development.

In addition to that, some of your key tasks will be to:

  • Drive design, discuss and implement solutions for new features,
  • Ensure code review and inspection,
  • Be a role model when it comes to coding, facilitation and conducting scrum,
  • Participate in knowledge sharing and sparring with other developers

Join a growing team working with a library solutions for Germany and the Nordics
Our department is growing and we are, therefore, looking for colleagues in Copenhagen. In cooperation with our committed and highly skilled group of 25 colleagues, comprising domain experts and developers, placed in Aarhus, Copenhagen, and Bucharest, you will accelerate the development and improvement of our library and learning product suite, Cicero.

Cicero is used in public libraries and schools in every Danish municipality and at 300+ schools in Sweden, now growing into the German and Norwegian market as well. Cicero was built to support library workers in their daily work and ensure that all libraries in the country work in synergy.

Bring your experience into play
We are looking for someone, who will enjoy working in a team with colleagues with different technical capabilities and are able to bring that into play. Furthermore, you enjoy being a part of a team and contribute to the daily life in the office, while at the same time contributing to a good team culture. You also thrive in a team where some of the team members are located remotely calling for online collaboration.

We expect that you have:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or similar
  • +5 years of experience as a software developer

In terms of technologies, we are looking for some with a solid technical foundation in the following:

  • Java
  • IntelliJ or Eclipse
  • SQL

If you have dabbled with PostgreSQL, GitLab, MQ, Docker and Kubernetes, Angular and TeamCity, this will be an advantage – not a requirement.
In the first period of your employment, you should expect travel activity to our HQ in Aarhus where we will make sure that you receive a great onboarding – both to Systematic but also to how we develop our software.

Please note that you must be able to present a clean criminal record and have lived in a NATO/EU country for the past seven years as some of Systematic’s projects are security-classified. Read more here.
