Assistant Professorship (4 years) at Centre for Alcohol and Drug Research

The Centre for Alcohol and Drug Research is looking for a candidate with an interest in and experience with the processing of statistics and data in a social science context.At the Centre for Alcohol and Drug Research (CRF), Department of Psychology, Aarhus University, a 4-year position as Assistant Professor is available to be filled from 15 August 2024 or as soon as possible thereafter.

We are looking for candidates who are expected to have in-depth knowledge and experience with statistics and who wish to engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with the centre's other employees. You are expected to master power analyses, state-of-the-art analyses of data from longitudinal studies (e.g. RCT studies), including prediction studies and state-of-the-art analyses of cross-sectional data. The Assistant Professor's tasks are equally divided between assisting/advising the centre's other employees in relation to advanced statistical analyses and your own research projects, preferably methodological research projects.


Who we are

At the Centre for Alcohol and Drug Research we carry out social-science research in the alcohol and drug field. Our research projects concerns the treatment, prevention, policy and recreational consumption. We conduct research in both legal and illegal drugs.

The Centre is interdisciplinary and the employees are based on, among other things, anthropology, psychology, sociology, law and public health. Our task is to establish and conduct research projects, teach, communicate knowledge about alcohol and drug use, and collaboration with national players in the area as well as international research institutions. The Department of Psychology and Behavioural Sciences is one of six departments at Aarhus BSS - one of the five faculties at Aarhus University. The appointment is made in accordance with the Memorandum on Job Structure for Academic Staff at Danish Universities as well as the circular on the Collective Agreement for Academics Employed by the State (in Danish).
