Site Manager

Join us in this role where you’ll be part of the Project Delivery with responsibility for site management of utility scale wind farm projects. Your tasks will include leading health and safety initiatives on site and constructing utility scale renewable energy projects. You’ll interface with multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholders as well as work in a challenging and fast-paced environment.

You’ll be part of The Project Delivery team where you, together with your colleagues, will share knowledge and experiences to develop both personally and professionally in a positive work culture and to bring projects from development through the construction phase and handover to Operations. You’ll play an important role in:

  • managing contractors on site to oversee daily activities on wind farm projects sites, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, quality, and project specifications
  • implementing, maintaining, and enforcing good on-site QSHE practices
  • maintaining accurate and up-to-date site records and documentation
  • developing and maintaining relationships with key suppliers and contractors while ensuring project targets are met
  • working closely and reporting to PM on all site-related construction activities, reviewing payment claims, determination of variation claims, and providing on-site records to substantiate milestone payments
  • monitoring closely site activities and contractor progress to ensure project programme, risk, and cost are properly managed.

 

To succeed in the role, you:

  • have a strong cultural belief in safety and extensive wind farm site management experience in utility scale projects
  • have strong interpersonal skills as well as good negotiation skills
  • have the ability to lead a project team on site to a high level of performance
  • understand the PSDP/PSCS or CDMC processes and construction regulations
  • have the ability to work with multidisciplinary project stakeholders, incl. the technical and legal fields
  • are driven to meet deliverables on target with attention to detail and understand the technical and regulatory requirements to deliver renewable energy projects.
