Join us and become a Data Engineer in Advanced Analytics where you’ll work with our data lake and data catalogue. You’ll work closely with the Data Lake team, ARTs, projects and PoCs responsible for developing our Group’s data backbone and inspiring and advising stakeholders on data, advanced analytics and artificial intelligence techniques to achieve better results.

The Advanced Analytics team is one of five teams in Architecture, Data & Technology in our Group’s IT department and consists of 26 professionals within the areas of data management, big data engineering and data science. Our team is committed to delivering on the Group’s Digital Strategy, which is anchored in the Executive Committee, by making data available, extracting insights and value from data by applying domain expertise, tools and technology, and contemporary analytics.

Your key tasks will be to

  • ensure data collection procedures for building analytics systems
  • build and evolve the ingestion pipelines to the Data Lake platform and ensure that data is made available in a way that is optimised for security, stability and performance
  • develop and evolve the data catalogue application’s functionality to fit our demand in cooperation with the data manager
  • ensure data collection procedures for aligning the data catalogue entries with the overall ingest process
  • ensure that requirements are implemented timely in the data catalogue to enable self-service for the Group’s data scientist community.

Furthermore, you’ll perform daily maintenance and support of the data catalogue.

Your competences include that you

  • have moderate development experience working with Python and R
  • have development experience working with Spark/PySpark
  • have experience with installation and maintenance of Linux and Linux-based applications
  • have experience with popular cloud platforms and container technology tools.

In addition, you’re good at scripting and programming in C#, .Net or Java, and you have some experience from quantitative or data-heavy functions. Having experience with monitoring, transformation, orchestration and integration is a plus.

You’re a team player, willing to learn new technologies and methods and happy to drive progress, and you can engage and motivate team members around you while delivering high-quality solutions. You speak and write English fluently, and you’re familiar with IT disciplines like Agile, Scrum and SAFe.
