About the department

The Legal Business Development & Trademarks team is an ambitious, dynamic and international team comprised of 7 professionals, which provides legal support to Novo Nordisk’s global Business Development teams, Global Research and Digital Health, including M&A, IP licensing transactions and other global strategic collaborations. We are located in Novo Nordisk’s headquarters in Bagsværd, Denmark, as part of Global Legal & Patents. Novo Nordisk’s Global Legal organization has more than 250 global legal colleagues situated at +40 locations around the world.

The position

As our new Senior Corporate Counsel, you will provide strategic legal advice and support to the Digital Health team within the Commercial Business Development area. Your work will focus on drafting, negotiating various types of agreements such as strategic partner collaborations, digital health app development, device connectivity, cloud services and various IP matters. You will also focus on data privacy aspects and agreements and work closely with our data privacy experts related to Novo Nordisk’s digital health offerings.

You will engage with a diverse range of stakeholders within the business and across global legal.

As a legal expert for Digital Health, this role works closely with the business leadership, headquarter staff and legal colleagues from EU countries and the United States on various strategic projects. You will

be expected to develop solutions to new and challenging issues in a changing environment.

As part of the Global Legal organisation, you would also be involved with cross-functional global legal projects and will have opportunities, both in Denmark and abroad, for further professional development.

This position reports to the Vice President – Legal Business Development and Trademarks.

Qualifications

You have a Law degree and admission in your home jurisdiction as well as 5+ years of experience from a major law firm or in-house legal department. You have previously negotiated complex transactions and thus have strong negotiation and drafting skills. Experience with

digital health related agreements and assessing intellectual property issues

is a plus, together with knowledge of the life science industry and data privacy regulations.

Solid attention to detail combined with the capacity to multi-task and meet tight deadlines are needed. Furthermore, we expect that you have excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels within the organisation.

Danish language skills are not required.
