We are looking for 2-4 new Procurement Consultants with top-tier credentials to join our two-year Procurement Consultant Programme.

About the department
Corporate Procurement is Novo Nordisk’s centre of excellence for category strategies, supplier agreements and purchasing processes. We negotiate contracts covering more than DKK 25 billion of Novo Nordisk’s spend. We also define and drive Novo Nordisk’s global procurement strategy, we set the global direction for best practice procurement work processes and we are driving a large digitalisation project across global procurement.

Corporate Procurement consists of 150 employees based in Denmark and India, and globally more than 400 people work in procurement. Corporate Procurement is anchored with direct report to the

Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Novo Nordisk.

The position

The Procurement Consultant Programme includes four rotations of six months each in four different departments in Corporate Procurement at our global headquarters in Denmark. The work will be based out of Denmark but involve close collaboration with the colleagues across the globe. In the programme you will be assigned a mentor and through coaching and training you will obtain a strong consultant toolbox.

As a Procurement Consultant you will drive selected sourcing and business development projects. In addition, you will work with developing our category strategies through sound and fact-based analyses. You will work closely with our key stakeholders on identifying and executing business improvement projects and sourcing opportunities in our global organisation and drive negotiation and relationship management with our suppliers. The programme is a great opportunity for rapid professional development and to get an understanding of the value chain in Novo Nordisk, while delivering tangible results and value to the business.


We expect you to recently have completed, or are close to completing, a Master's Degree (in e.g. Finance, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Economics or Engineering) with a top 15% GPA.

You thrive in an international environment, take leadership naturally and have high professional expectations for yourself and your colleagues. You communicate and sell your ideas effectively and you have the ability to work with various stakeholders, skilled colleagues and suppliers. You are structured, analytical and very ambitious with excellent IT and communication skills. Finally, you are fluent in English and interested in understanding the value chain in large organisations.
