Are you passioned about Digital Transformation in the Educational Sector in Denmark?

Microsoft works in close collaboration with all levels of educational institutions, government officials, and Education IT providers. Together with communities of students, educators and researcher we work to ensure the best learning and research outcomes and with staff we work to develop secure and efficient education institutions.

We’re looking for a Leader of the Education Industry team that geographically spands across Denmark, Iceland, Greenland and the Faroe Icelands. You will be responsible for setting the direction for the team and ensuring it is efficiently carried out through the sales and marketing efforts of the extended team and partners. Establishing Microsoft as leader in the Education sector and ensuring diligent daily business management will be two additional key responsibilities.

Our mission in Education is threefold:

Driving simplicity and tech intensity to deliver tech-enabled learning - including:

  • Cultivate and build leader, educator/faculty and influencer affinity and advocacy, utilizing the Microsoft Education Transformation Framework
  • Drive adoption for Teams and Windows to support sustainable remote learning scenarios with students & educators
  • Build and drive usage of integrated learning solutions on Teams with partners
  • Engage with faculty, educators and academic staff to drive advocacy
  • Support strategic Windows device deals via proactive engagement with key customer and partner stakeholders

Preparing students to be workplace ready -including:

  • Leverage partners to build education skills ecosystem and student employability
  • Empower students to skill up and certify on Microsoft technologies, building knowledge of Microsoft Learn
  • Establish partnerships with institutions, commercial customers and governments

Driving Digital Transformation in the Education sector – including:

  • Increase deployment & adoption of industry priority solutions (IPS)
  • Build D365 and Power Platform usage and customer adds
  • Drive co-sell w/ IP Priority partners
  • Drive Azure in academic research by thru strategic design wins across top research institutions/museums

Experiences Required: Education, Key Experiences, Skills and Knowledge:​

  • Strong sales and business background, with 5-8 years education related experience and 3 or more years of people management and leading high performing sales teams and partners to achieve quota and sustainable growth year-over year​
  • Experience of selling education software solutions (Microsoft software and devices technology preferred) combined with deep understanding of key education solutions and competitive technologies ​
  • Strong business planning and coaching/instilling business discipline skills woven with ability to encourage sales/tech sales team to develop and implement targeted plans​
  • Possess executive maturity, presence and experience in building trust with senior education decision makers and articulating how education institutions can digitally transform teaching and learning/student outcomes with Microsoft solutions ​
  • Ability to drive digital transformation in a highly competitive environment with proven ability to successfully anticipate market changes to drive industry-relevant solutions, address competitive threats and navigate complex customer environments​
  • Experience in leading and driving the entire sales cycle, orchestrating virtual selling teams where necessary, leveraging repeatable offerings that maximize revenue/market share/consumption opportunities and increase customer satisfaction​
  • Ability to develop external partner eco-system to scale execution & be comfortable with public speaking and the media​
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • key requirement: fluent in Danish and English
