Goals:
We aim to build Denmark's most innovative Product Development department in VEO. We are building a huge development team with all the necessary in-house capabilities to push the needle of innovation and innovation speed. We will use our local, internal assembly line to fast-track our time to market.
The most challenging part of this role is getting up to speed with our tech. It is a complicated product with many different functions, requiring you to catch up fast on areas such as camera, mic DSP, battery management, general control, etc.
It would be best if you were up for a steep learning curve.
You:
To manage this position, you need a general understanding of mechanics, design, electronics, and firmware. Also knowledge of DFM for large productions & assembly line setups, as well as a good understanding of agile work forms.
We seek talented people regardless of seniority, but we need you to have five years of practical experience developing consumer electronics products or a master's degree in a relevant area for this position.
Responsible for:
- Own and pioneer our hardware test strategy. You will assist our Camera development team to ensure we don’t repeat issues in future products.
- Root cause analysis together with the R&D team. Involve the resources you need to get the issue resolved (firmware, electronics, app, UX, mechanics)
- Develop & qualify PCBA design modifications on in-market products, either due to shortages, cost savings or failure rate reduction
- Discuss supplier testing & quality improvements with our suppliers directly. Pushing for conclusions and signing off on corrective actions (CAPA & 8D).
- Develop electro-mechanical test systems for both R&D and production (involves internal Needle Bed automated test-jig and assistance from our software tooling developer).
- Develop hardware test fixtures for our production to improve efficiency and quality in our in-house production
- Quality evangelist and sparring partner for all R&D projects (Design for testing, design for manufacturing/quality)
- In the future: You will be responsible for defining what tests new hardware has to go through before it can live up to ‘The Veo Standard.’ (Corrosion, thermal, ESD, drop, electrical stability, etc.)
