Key about your role

In your role as a Java Developer/Software Engineer, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team of Business Analysts, Testers and Software Engineers, responsible for the development of everything from bug fixes to the implementation of new features. You won’t be alone, and can count on support from enthusiastic colleagues who are always happy to discuss solutions. However, as our application is complex, you will be expected to carry out proactive self-driven investigations. We strongly believe that the best argument should always win, independent of job title or seniority, and as such we look for engineers that will actively drive design discussions and in code reviews (we use Bitbucket intensively for such functions). This approach is also true for our processes: if you think we can optimise a process or a way of working, we strongly encourage you to share ideas with your team. In general, we try to be pragmatic: we use SCRUM but are not fanatical about it. Things must make sense. If not, we change it. We plan our tasks in two-week sprints, but we are agile and can reprioritise as and when required. Other key characteristics of your role include: you love driving initiatives, you are a team player, you are thorough; you have high ambitions for yourself, the code and our product. Pension knowledge and/or mathematical flair is an advantage but not a requirement.

Key about your team
We are looking for more engineers to join our Plexus teams at Keylane Copenhagen to help build our policy administration systems. We have 8 different teams in Denmark, with different focus areas related to building a software solution for a Pension company. The teams work passionately on standardising the handling of e.g. incoming money, investment, premium calculations, projection of value for retirement, etc. It is a highly complex area, and ideal candidates shouldn’t be scared of numbers 😉

We are internationalising Plexus, our policy administration system, which introduces an international work environment with close cooperation across Denmark, The Netherlands and India.
