Senior Software Engineer

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement event-driven solutions and cloud services on ALP (Air & LCL Platform)
• Work with Product and Enterprise Architects on information models and mappings for standardized data flows
• Define API specs and Kafka messages and implement API and Kafka stream services
• Implement integrations to backend third-party solutions and services on other Maersk platforms
• Work with the team and platform on developing best practices for development and ways of working
• Work with the team and platform on keeping up with, and staying excited about, modern tech - ensuring a fun and challenging working environment

We are looking for

• A solid developer (integration, backend, full-stack) with decent experience in developing services on a cloud platform.
• Bachelor or master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (in English) with the ability to communicate both technical issues to non-technical and technical audiences.
• Comfortable working in an Agile environment using Scrum and Kanban.

Technical Requirements

• Solid experience with Java (other languages such as Kotlin, Golang, JavaScript/Typescript etc. is a plus)
• Experience with development of scalable SaaS solutions.
• Hands-on experience with integration and data-mapping.
• Understanding of Cloud Architecture and Cloud Security.
• Solid experience with RESTful (GraphQL is a plus)
• Experienced Linux user (Linux shell)

• Event-Driven Design

• Kafka or Event Hub.
• Using and/or contributing to Open Source projects.
• Domain-driven design (DDD)
• Test-Driven Development (TDD) or Behavior-Driven Development (BDD)
• Kubernetes, Knative
• Docker or other containers services (hands-on)
