CSM/Safety specialist

COWI A/S

Do you want to organize, handle and document the security processes for our projects? Can you communicate and convey complex safety issues and information within the field of CSM/safety? So join us and leave your fingerprint on future development with us!

A Position That Will Drive Your Development Further
We are seeking new CSM/Safety colleagues to join our international team of experts. Based in our Lyngby, Aarhus, or Vejle offices, you will engage in close, interdisciplinary collaboration with highly specialized engineers in areas such as track, running current, signal, and bridge systems. Your primary focus will be on your projects and customers. Our Railways and Metro department consists of 115 experts in railway, metro, and light rail systems. We provide comprehensive services throughout the project lifecycle, from initial investigations to detailed design, supervision, and maintenance. COWI is engaged in major Danish infrastructure projects, including the Electrification Programme, the new M5 metro line, Future's driverless S-tog, and the Greater Copenhagen light rail, along with various safety-related tasks.

As a CSM/Safety Specialist, you will be a link between disciplines and the safety management projects with the responsibility for carrying out the risk assessment process, ensuring clear communication across teams. You will prepare documentation, define systems, facilitate hazard workshops, and gather input from various experts. Experience in broader railway safety and safety management systems is a plus.

On day-to-day basis you will be:

  • Responsible for assisting the approval process in relation to CSM-RA
  • Obtaining information from planners and prepare associated safety documentation.
  • Communicating the CSM-RA message on the same level as your audience
  • Coordinating the process with assessors and authorities so that the projects obtain the relevant approvals.
  • Contributing to continued significant professional development within CSM in the team.

Your skills. Our team. Together we design the future.
The first step to success in this role is that you are eager to collaborate with the people around you, whether they are colleagues, partners or customers. Developing ties with others is something you do by acting respectfully and delivering on your promises. And you never get set in your ways, but keep exploring new insights and ways to improve.

On top of that, you will have:

  • Experience with CSM
  • Good communication skills in Danish and English, both written and spoken.
  • A good interdisciplinary understanding
