Carlsberg Export & License (CE&L) CE&L is a high growth company responsible for selling Carlsberg Group’s global brands in over 100 markets globally, primarily via local third-party partnerships. The Business Development Manager works for our APACA business unit to support priority business development projects from idea to execution. What you’ll be doing
You will support several high priority business development projects and contribute to the strategic planning and performance cycle.
- Our business development projects are ambitious commercial initiatives in select growth markets in Asia and Americas. Examples include changing our route-to-market approach, negotiating key contracts with current and new partners, entering new markets, evaluating new local sourcing partnerships, and vetting inorganic opportunities. Your role is to steadily maintain the project overview, be project manager on select projects, provide guidance on team inputs (from Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, Legal, more), identify risks and opportunities, and synthesize information into actionable commercial recommendations for relevant stakeholders and executive decision makers.
- Given your position in CE&L organization, you will also be relied upon to contribute to our annual strategic planning and performance cycle. This means performing commercial analyses and developing presentation content for the BU performance reviews, budgets and 3-year strategies. This work is performed in close collaboration with your colleagues in Finance, Marketing, Sales, HR, and Supply Chain.
What we’re looking for
You have completed a Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. Finance, Strategy, Marketing) and have minimum 2 years in a related role, ideally with previous exposure to the Beverage or Consumer Packaged Goods industry.
You possess the following traits and are energized by them:

- Analytical by nature, with ability to synthesize information into actionable commercial recommendations for decision makers.
- Communicating effectively across cultures and stakeholders
You have experience in and enjoy the following:
- Finance and business case development
- Building commercial partnerships, ideally including contract negotiations
- Managing strategic projects from idea to execution
- Handling diverse sets of information (across marketing, finance, supply chain, legal)
- Presenting holistic commercial analyses in a concise manner
- You are fluent in English; additional languages could be an advantage.
- Some overseas travel is to be expected, up to 45 days annually.
