Senior Associate/ Investment Manager, Infrastructure at DNB Asset Management Alternative Investments

Who we are:
DNB Asset Management (DAM) is a leading Nordic asset manager with more than 1,000bn NOK under management. We offer our clients various investment strategies including discretionary mandates within Nordic and global asset classes, both long-only equities, long/short equities, investment grade and high yield corporate bonds, multi-assets, multi-manager portfolios and alternative investments. Our core focus within alternative investments today is Private equity, including primary, and direct investments, investing in- and alongside leading active sponsors in the Nordics, Europe and North America. The alternative investments unit is currently establishing an infrastructure leg to its alternative investments offering.

What we are looking for:
DAM Alternative Investments has seen increased activity in recent years, both on fund investing and direct investing. DAM Alternative Investments is now working on increasing the asset classes by establishing an infrastructure fund strategy. We are therefore looking to extend our alternative investments team with a Senior Associate/ Investment Manager dedicated to the infrastructure investment leg. The candidate should have 3+ years of professional investment experience, preferably from working with infrastructure private markets. The ideal candidate can both take a leading role in investment processes in addition to represent our products in fundraising-settings towards DAM’s clients.

Key responsibilities:
• Lead commercial due diligence on prospective infrastructure managers including assessments of strategy, team, track record and valuation of underlying portfolio companies
• Sourcing of target managers and funds within our investment scope
• Portfolio monitoring and manage ongoing core relationships
• Business development, reporting and ongoing responsibilities
• Participate in setting up the structure, including vehicle and mandate (process already started)
• The role is expected to require some travelling

Skills and abilities:
• 3+ years’ experience from investment activities, preferably including project management and analysis
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, strategic thinking and quantitative/qualitative skills
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
• Interest in infrastructure, transactions and investments
• University degree within engineering or finance and a strong academic record
• Infrastructure experience is valued but not a requirement

• Fluent in both Norwegian and English
