Behind the title
As the Director for Local IT&OT and Operational Readiness, you will play a pivotal role in leading our local IT & Automation teams for Capex programs while driving the global operational readiness efforts. You will report directly to Project Vice President for IT & Automation and become a key member of the leadership team, ensuring that local teams are empowered and influential in how we execute the programs.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and inspiring our site teams, ensuring they are fully integrated into our global execution strategy to drive implementation and qualification of solutions
  • Overseeing and managing a global team for operational readiness, ensuring a seamless transition from project execution to operations
  • Building a strong, cohesive and harmonized team at sites with competencies that can drive execution as well as are relevant and critical for operations in close collaboration with our partners in IT/OT operations
  • Driving collaboration between global and site teams, fostering a culture of transparency, knowledge-sharing, and innovation
  • Ensuring that operational readiness is approached with a mindset of scalability, performance, and sustainability, preparing teams for the future of production
  • Working closely with rest of the leadership team and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment with broader organizational goals

Your leadership will be essential to bridging the local and global IT & Automation efforts, providing direction, support, and the platform to succeed towards our mission of implementing scalable standard solutions without becoming a bottleneck to the program.

Which competencies to bring
You are an experienced leader in IT & Automation, with a blend of technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and strategic thinking. Key qualifications include:

  • A Master’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or another relevant field is preferred
  • Proven experience in both Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) is critical to understand the unique challenges of integrating IT systems with operations
  • Experience of leading IT/OT initiatives at sites or globally, especially in pharmaceutical production, manufacturing, or similar regulated environments
  • Industry 4.0/5.0 understanding and the benefits in defining future operations, would be beneficial
  • Understanding of operational readiness processes, including Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), Performance Validation (PV), and transitioning systems from project execution to operations
  • Experience managing large teams, often in the range of 40-120 employees, across multiple locations is ideal
