The Converter Control Hardware & Firmware Sub Module develops and maintains all embedded converter software, controller HW, SW tools, real-time simulation platforms, and SW test systems for all converters. We provide first-in-class Vestas' converter solutions with quality meeting system and grid requirements.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced QA Lead/QA Architect to oversee the planning, development, and execution of comprehensive testing strategies, while also providing technical leadership to ensure software products meet the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will guide the QA team in both functional and technical aspects, ensuring the seamless integration of manual, automated, and performance testing, while architecting testing frameworks that support the product's scalability and maintainability.

Responsibilities

  • Guide the QA team, including analysts, test and automation engineers, maintaining an environment of continuous improvement and innovation in testing practices and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software
  • Define and implement the test architecture, including tools, environments, and data strategies, that ensure comprehensive test coverage across all areas of the product
  • Develop and implement the overall QA strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and development targets
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including development and product management to define quality goals and milestones
  • Oversee test planning and execution across all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including functional, integration, regression, performance, and security testing
  • Manage resources effectively, ensuring the QA team is equipped with the skills, tools, and knowledge necessary to meet project demands
  • Drive defect triage and prioritization, ensuring timely resolution of issues and effective communication with stakeholders
  • Report on QA metrics such as defect rates, test coverage, and release readiness to management and stakeholders
  • Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks and scripts for continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) pipelines, ensuring scalability and reliability
  • Architect and lead the adoption of automated testing, performance testing, and other advanced testing methodologies to streamline processes and improve efficiency
  • Identify and implement testing tools and frameworks for both functional and non-functional requirements (e.g., GTest, JUnit, JMeter)
  • Ensure integration between automated testing tools and build pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps), maintaining continuous quality feedback for development teams
  • Develop and enforce coding standards, best practices, and quality metrics for the testing infrastructure
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure testable code through the implementation of test-driven development (TDD) or behavior-oriented development (BDD) methodologies
  • Monitor and optimize system performance during high-stress testing scenarios, ensuring stability and reliability under load

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience as a QA Architect or QA Technical Lead, designing and implementing test frameworks and strategies for complex software systems
  • Experience with both manual and automated testing, with a good understanding of when to apply each
  • Expertise in CI/CD pipelines, automation tools, and performance testing (e.g., GTest, JUnit, Jenkins, SonarQube)
  • Significant experience in Agile/DevOps environments and knowledge of industry best practices for software quality and testing
  • Previous experience with embedded software testing (if applicable to your domain) or experience in similar domains where hardware-software integration is key
  • Proficient in programming/scripting languages used for automation (e.g., Python, C#).
  • Comprehensive understanding of software architecture, microservices, APIs
  • Experience with test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail) and defect-tracking systems
  • Deep knowledge of performance testing and security testing tools

  • Process-oriented and product life cycle understanding
  • Proven ability to guide a diverse QA team in various methodologies, including manual, automated, and performance testing
