Business Controller
Ørsted
Join us in this role where you’ll provide relevant insights into our financial allocations to Ørsted’s legal entities and be responsible for running our allocation model, which distributes all overhead costs to our approximately 400 entities in accordance with tax and accounting requirements. You’ll have a key role in ensuring a robust allocation model based on the best keys and scoping. Your work will impact our ability to optimise costs, comply with tax and accounting requirements, and drive sustainable growth across our global operations.
Welcome to Financial Performance & Analysis
You’ll be part of Financial Analysis & Allocations where you, together with your colleagues, will be part of a global team servicing the business with insights into our allocation and delivery optimisation projects across Finance and all of the company. You’ll be part of a talented and dedicated team of eight people, mainly based in Denmark. We have a sister team in Poland, which you’ll work closely together with. You’ll also have stakeholders across the finance organisation in both Poland and Denmark, from Accounting and Controlling, Billing, to Business Finance and Transfer Pricing (Tax). As a team, we’re high-performing, help each other, share knowledge, and support each other to succeed. We maintain an open and informal dialogue and strive to develop as individuals and as a team.
You’ll play an important role in:
- being process owner and responsible for the allocation model we use to allocate all overhead costs across the legal entities
- running the monthly allocation model, including making sure the scoping of cost pools is updated in cooperation with business controllers
- assisting in audits on calculation of allocations for single entities or projects
- helping the business to understand their allocation, including updating Power BIs and communicating with finance business partners and controllers
- analysing trends and assisting in improving our allocation methods.
To succeed in the role, you:
- have a master’s degree in accounting, controlling, or similar as well as relevant experience dealing with controlling, forecasting, and financial reporting
- have strong Excel skills, and knowledge of SAP, SAP BPC, and Power BI is an advantage
- are proactive and self-driven and challenge the status quo
- speak and write English fluently
- value being part of a team and are a team player
- have a structured approach to your work.
