Do you want to join a global leader in renewable energy infrastructure investments? If so, Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) is the right place for you! We are looking for an ambitious, self-driven, and analytical professional to join the Fund Performance team in Copenhagen.
Fund Performance
Since our founding in 2012, we have grown to become the largest dedicated renewable energy fund manager globally. We are committed to financing and building the energy infrastructure needed to secure a sustainable future for our planet. With our scale, expertise, and resources, we can drive the green transition of the energy sector.
CIP is in an exciting period of growth where the right skills and experience are sought after, and therefore, we are looking for the next rising star to join one of the central teams in CIP, their Fund Performance team. A team that now consists of 4 employees and is responsible for all tasks related to fund performance, including forecasting, scenario analysis, new funds, incentive models, and servicing of co-investors. You will get great exposure as the team works closely with key stakeholders and decision-makers in the firm (senior partners, management, etc.), where your contribution will truly matter.
The role
As our new Associate/senior associate, you will contribute to the team with different aspects of finance and will especially focus on the performance of CIP-managed funds, forecasting on co-investments, input to partner financials, scenario modeling on liquidity management, scenario analysis on refinancing or divestment of investments, and sensitivity analysis (e.g., change in inflation, power prices, etc.).
You will also participate in processes regarding establishing new funds, such as designing performance models and preparing performance schedules, participating in investor presentations of performance models, and preparing fund models in connection with fundraising.
Responsibilities will consist of, but are not limited to:
- Gain strictly confidential knowledge and expertise on the incentive models used in CIP.
- Calculate the impact of changes in performance allocation principles or other modifications to incentive programs for each partner.
- Prepare co-investor cash flow forecasts for hiring new partners or senior employees.
- Assist in establishing general employee incentive programs.
- Support co-investors by facilitating annual information meetings on overall co-investment performance for relevant CIP employees.
- Prepare cash flow forecasts for individual partners or key people to aid in personal planning and bank negotiations.
You
We seek a self-driven and analytical professional with a relevant master’s degree in economics, finance, business, or other related fields. You can have between 2-5 years of experience (your experience will determine the seniority and areas of responsibilities in this position).
Key qualifications include:
- Team player and self-starter who is comfortable taking responsibility for their projects in a cross-functional work environment
- Solid understanding of corporate finance, particularly in terms of valuation and analysis
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and with tight deadlines
- A positive can-do attitude and a strong desire to work in a fast-growing international organization
- Experience with or interest in the renewable energy sector is an advantage but not a requirement
