Director, Head of Grid Integration

EPC

You will be part of our fast-growing EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction), Department consisting of 75+ professionals divided into 7 dedicated sub-teams. Our purpose is to ensure that our renewable energy projects are designed, sourced, constructed, and grid-connected within the planned timelines, quality standards, and budget. We are involved throughout the full project life cycle from Screening to the Operational Phase.

How you will create an impact 

As our new Head of Grid Integration you will be responsible for our expert environment in Grid Integration of reneable energy plants. You will be leading a growing team currently consisting of 10 people. The team supports our Project Development department in new projects to manage and control grid integrations of our projects. 

Our projects are connected on DSO or TSO levels up to 400 kV and include hybrid (onshore wind/solar), PtX, and Battery systems and are placed worldwide. 

With in-house specialists in the team, we do simulation models of our facilities with Power Factory and PSCAD. You will collaborate with our Electrical Engineering team regarding the technical implementation to secure compliance with the grid requirements. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Leading and developing your team
  • Support your team in relation to prioritization, goal setting, and strategic direction
  • Main responsible within European Energy for strategic planning of grid integrations for existing and future markets and technologies
  • Be part of EPC management group contributing to the EPC Strategy
  • Responsibility for the grid expert function to the renewable projects from early development until operation on technical, commercial and regulatory matters.

 

 

To thrive in the role we imagine you have the following competencies

  • 5+ years of relevant working experience. 
  • You hold knowledge regarding the technical, regulatory, and commercial demands for grid connections of PV and wind assets.  
  • You hold a master's degree in engineering, business, or similar. 
  • You have knowledge of Power Factory, PSCAD, or other simulation software. 
  • You have full professional proficiency in English. Other languages are a plus.
