Overview: As a Business Controller with expertise in SQL and data analytics technology, you play a pivotal role in guiding strategic decision-making processes within the organization. You leverage your advanced analytical skills and proficiency in SQL to extract, interpret, and present data-driven insights that drive operational efficiency, financial performance, and business growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

1. Data Analysis and Interpretation:
   • Utilize SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from various databases and data warehouses.
   • Develop complex queries to perform ad-hoc analysis and generate actionable insights.
   • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and correlations relevant to business performance.
2. Financial Planning and Forecasting:
   • Collaborate with finance teams to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
   • Use historical data and predictive analytics to forecast future financial outcomes.
   • Assess the financial impact of various business decisions and scenarios.
3. Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
   • Design and implement dashboards and reporting tools to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
   • Track and analyze financial and operational metrics to evaluate business performance.
   • Prepare and present comprehensive reports and presentations to stakeholders, highlighting key insights and recommendations.
4. Process Improvement and Optimization:
   • Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization through data analysis.
   • Work cross-functionally to implement data-driven solutions that streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
   • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented initiatives, iterating as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
5. Strategic Decision Support:
   • Provide analytical support to senior management for strategic decision-making.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA, Master's) preferred.
• Proven experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and concisely.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
