Nordic Marketplaces
We want to multiply our positive impact on society and the planet by 2035. No biggie. Whilst doing that Nordic Marketplaces are also transforming into a next generation marketplace by taking on a larger role and responsibility in key user journeys. And great design is a big part of this. Our marketplaces, FINN in Norway, Blocket in Sweden, DBA and Bilbasen in Denmark, and Tori and Oikotie in Finland, are market leaders and connect millions of buyers and sellers monthly.

The opportunity in a nutshell
Role? Product Designer with a Nordic focus - working across our products and brands, collecting user & business insights, prototyping & validating new concepts, and creating final designs.

Location? This role will be positioned in Oslo, Norway, but with stakeholders and colleagues across our Nordic countries and Poland. We work in a hybrid way and keep work-life balance at the centre of our compass.

Why us? Have you been waiting for the possibility of working with digital products with millions of monthly users while participating in a more sustainable society? This is a role with such impact. We're dedicated to a culture of continuous learning, offering time and opportunities to enhance your skills and stay abreast of current trends to innovate and lead in UX design.

About you
Experience: Bring 3+ years of experience in a relevant role in UX design of digital products, experience in leading design and facilitating user research.

Agile Mindset: Familiarity with working in an agile development environment, including the ability to articulate design specifications and collaborate effectively with engineers. Curious, collaborative, pragmatic & problem-solving mindset.

Tool Proficiency: Proficient in Figma and Miro, our tool of choice for design collaboration.
Portfolio: Showcase a design portfolio featuring digital experiences, including documentation of the end-to-end design process.

User-Centric Practices: Demonstrate experience in conducting user interviews, testing sessions, facilitating internal stakeholder workshops, and prototyping.

Outcome Focus: Ensure your designs align with defined outcomes and success metrics from the outset, striking a balance between delivering exceptional customer experiences and meeting business objectives.

Language: In this role we have a requirement of being fluent in Norwegian, both written and verbal.

You day-to-day work
As a Product Designer in the Mobility area - one of four areas in Nordic Marketplaces - you’ll work within a cross functional product team and belong to a design team of 14. You’ll also be entering a passionate and wide Schibsted Design community across the Nordics (counting 90 designers in total) - all driven by the will to create products that users love, and to keep on sharing knowledge and to grow.

We’ll soon be transitioning to a new multi-brand Schibsted platform, and that will be a big part of your focus. You cover the user-centric design process from end to end and we dare to say that there’s no day alike. You’re responsible for the user experience, and let qualitative insights and behavioural data drive your designs. You identify and prioritise design problems, explore new concepts and validate them with mock-ups & prototypes with the help of our end users. Constant improvement is always in your mind, thus you keep on measuring and analysing the usage of the newest launches and sharing your findings with Product Managers, visual designers and developers.

What we offer
We guarantee an engaging workplace where successes are celebrated and colleagues support each other. We value work-life balance, offering flexible working hours. When you join us at our colourful and vibrant Oslo office, prepare for mouthwatering lunches that'll make your home-cooking game weak. If you want to give your health a little extra love, you can join our own SATS classes, winter ski-lessons, weekly padel training, and massage and physiotherapy in the office. And yes, we love cake!

GOT YOUR ATTENTION? Let us hear from you!
If you are looking for a workplace and the role in which you could share your knowledge and expertise, learn and grow, get inspired, be yourself, and make a difference, let us hear from you no later than 21st of May. (We’d also love to get a sneak peek at your portfolio so please do not forget to include it). We value diversity and welcome applicants from all backgrounds.
