About the role
As a Senior Product Designer, you will play a crucial role in defining the design direction and strategy for our product. While reporting to the VP of Product Development, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and stakeholders, to create intuitive and engaging user experiences. You will lead design initiatives from concept through execution, ensuring that our products not only meet but exceed user expectations.
Key responsibilities
- Lead Design Projects: Own the end-to-end design process for key projects, from initial concept to final implementation, ensuring a cohesive and user-centric approach.
- User Research & Insights: Conduct user research, gather insights, and translate them into actionable design solutions that address user needs and business goals.
- Prototyping & Wireframing: Create high-fidelity prototypes, wireframes, and mockups to effectively communicate design ideas and concepts to stakeholders.
- Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to align design solutions with product goals and technical constraints.
- Design Systems: Contribute to and maintain the design system to ensure consistency across all products and platforms.
- Usability Testing: Plan and conduct usability testing sessions, iterating on designs based on user feedback to enhance the overall user experience.
- Design Leadership: Advocate for best practices in design, championing user-centered design principles and promoting a culture of innovation within the team.
Skills and qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in product design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your design process and impact on shipped products
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, UX/UI best practices, and accessibility standards
- Experience with prototyping tools and methodologies, including interactive prototypes
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions clearly and persuasively
- Experience with user research and journey mapping
- Knowledge of usability testing and feedback analysis
- You are proficient in English, both spoken and written
