General Manager Nordics

Overview

By joining Emerson as a General Manager, you will have a substantial and impactful role to develop and implement our strategic direction across our business in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland.
In this position, you will provide insight, encourage the team and practice strong leadership to assure the business meets and exceeds agreed business targets whilst strengthening its position in the market.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  •     Own the development and implementation of a long-term Growth Strategy for the region consistent with global and European goals
    •    Achieve financial targets for orders, sales, gross profit and SG&A
    •    Establish and lead sales objectives for all business units in coordination with European management
    •    Manage customer-facing teams within budget to support growth plans
    •    Continuously improve the organization through reviews and development Initiatives
    •    Build a diverse and inclusive team with a strong talent pipeline, addressing individual country needs 
    •    Direct headcount and manage expenses within budgets and authority levels
    •    Guide country sales and marketing activities to align with growth programs
    •    Cultivate positive relationships with business leaders to ensure alignment and service improvement
    •    Develop high-level customer relationships with key customers and represent Emerson at senior meetings
    •    Engage in industry initiatives and policy programs to advocate for business needs
    •    Maintain positive relationships with unions, work councils or other employee representatives
    •    Drive employee engagement and action plans to employees and business needs
    •    Ensure compliance with Emerson’s Corporate Governance and Compliance Standards.
    •    Actively participate in the European Leadership Team, supporting and leading regional programs

    For This Role, You Will Need:
    •    BSc or MSc Degree or equivalent through experience (with concentration in Business, Engineering, or Finance preferred)
    •    Appropriate experience in Sales Management, with relevant industry and business knowledge
    •    Good understanding of key financial / management data
    •    Proficiency in English 
    •    Openness to travel extensively throughout the region and occasionally to other European countries with some Global travel. 
     

    Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

    •    Local market language capabilities
