Your mission

Brief Job Summary:
The Trade Marketing team in Sime Darby Motors is looking for a student to assist us in our day-to-day marketing operations! In this role, you will be exposed to how a car brand like Porsche runs their marketing campaigns, as well as learn how to use tools such as Adobe Creative Suite. You'll also get to work closely with other departments within Sime Darby Motors to help plan & execute upcoming events!

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning of promotional events and product launches
    • Learn how to create and design posters/flyers using Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator
    • Assist in creating reports on sales performance vs targets, including analysis and recommendations
    • Help maintain the brand’s social media accounts by posting updates, responding to queries, and monitoring conversations related to the brand
    • Assist in conducting market research to gather information about competitors’ products and pricing, as well as consumer trends and preferences
    • Help manage the departmental budget by tracking expenses and ensuring adherence to financial guidelines
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Sales, Aftersales, Finance) to develop and implement marketing strategies
    • Assist in organizing press releases and media events to showcase new products or promotions

    Qualifications:
    • Currently pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Business Administration/related field
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite
    • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
    • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and multi-task
    • Fast learner
