Join us as a Senior Accounting Manager in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You will lead the Danish accounting and payroll team, drive process improvements, and act as global process owner for the transactional accounting process including system development for travel expense and procure-to-pay systems. You will also be responsible for managing the accounting operations of our smaller subsidiaries.
You will be reporting to the Group Finance Director and work alongside a passionate Finance team of 40 colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the Danish accounting and payroll team of 6 employees:
Together with the team optimize processes where it is relevant to ensure scalability and efficiency in the processes. Ensure that monthly closing process is followed including closing of books, reconciliations, and review.
System Development: Lead development for travel expense and procure-to-pay systems, standardizing financial processes across the group. Support the 2025 rollout of a new procure-to-pay system and contribute to the ERP upgrade, optimizing VAT, Intrastat, and Danish statistical reporting.
Accounting for Minor Subsidiaries: Oversee the accounting operations for small subsidiaries (1-10 employees), including payroll, bookkeeping, and annual accounts. Act as the main contact for service providers for some of our minor subsidiaries, ensuring efficient processes and collaboration. Accounting for other minor subsidiaries is handled by the Danish accounting team. Manage selection of payroll and accounting providers when establishing new subsidiaries.
Qualifications
You have more than 5 years of experience in managing an accounting and payroll team.
You have experience with process optimization and implementation.
You have practical knowledge of financial systems and experience from participating in system implementations and upgrades.
You blend managerial oversight with strong hands-on execution experience and willingness.
