Join us and become Fisheries Stakeholder Relations Manager in the US Marine Affairs team where you’ll be responsible for working towards co-existence between our offshore wind projects and both commercial and recreational fisheries. In addition to fisheries outreach, the Marine Affairs team focuses on outreach to other marine stakeholders, the USCG, and the DoD.

Your key tasks will be to

  • coordinate and manage fisheries engagement across all the Group’s projects in the US
  • work closely with each project team to ensure fisheries outreach is conducted in a coordinated manner with the project’s commercial, legal, permitting, regulatory, and other stakeholder requirements
  • develop plans to proactively understand fishing activity in advance of offshore work, manage interaction between project activities and fishing, and document interactions in accordance with the plan
  • manage Fisheries Liaisons (FLs) with a focus on coordination across projects and support the FLs’s role by providing responses to questions that are received from port Fisheries Representatives (FRs) and attending port meetings with the FLs and FRs.

In this role you’ll also support the permitting team in developing collaborative fishing science plans for projects. In addition, you’ll develop fact sheets, presentations, and other communication materials to support communication with commercial and recreational fishing. Finally, you’re expected to work with the fishing industry to identify ways that offshore wind energy and fishing can co-exist during all project phases.

  • are a trustworthy and impactful communicator with the ability to maintain detailed dialogue, as well as the ability to address large groups
