Semco Maritime is looking for an experienced lead electrical /instrument engineer mainly based in our Aberdeen office, with frequent visits to other locations/offshore including assignments to our Head Office in Esbjerg.

Key responsibilities and tasks
You will be the focal point towards our customer. The role requires that you ensure good management of the project with delivery on time, on budget and in the right quality and executed safely according HSE&Q policies. The tasks include

  • Overall management of the E&I engineering team
  • Design and execution of both single and multi-discipline projects (site surveys, estimates/quoting, all aspects with in electrical and instrumentation project)
  • Organise and perform day-to-day management of the project (planning, budgets, quality, resources)
  • Coordinate other members of the Engineering Team

Who we are looking for
Wind or oil and gas experience, preferably from an offshore background. You have a relevant professional background (degree qualified in relevant Engineering, although other experience and qualifications will be considered).
We expect the ideal candidate to have the following qualities and skills:

  • Management and leadership experience
  • Proactive and practical approach to work
  • Experience with small and medium installation projects
  • Good communication skills
  • Fluent in English
  • Give technical guidance to others, as required.
  • Coordinate multiple projects at the same time on own and as part of a larger multi-disciplined team
  • Performance Management of productivity and finance.
  • Must work in line with the Company’s Quality Assurance Procedures.
  • Must work in line with the Company’s Health, Safety and Environmental procedures and policies at all times.
  • Ensure highest levels of client service delivery at all times
  • Carry out SAT & FATs
  • Maintain and update Project & Time management package (IFS)
  • Develop existing client base, in terms of direct contacts and also the Company’s product range.

You are mobile and willing to travel both nationally and internationally. The individual travel periods may encompass long stays and include weekends.
